We know that if people with convictions are to break the cycle of crime then they’re more likely to do so if they are in work.
However, this group of people are often overlooked by employers who are sometimes worried about employing people with a history of convictions. That is why we’re working with companies and organisations across the West Midlands to encourage them to support and employ people with a criminal record.
It is our mission to break down the barriers that those with convictions face when trying to get a job.
That is why we have developed the ‘Second Chances Charter’. It’s a commitment that your organisation will make to consider applications from people with a criminal record and help them get back on their feet.
