How to submit a petition to the Strategic Policing and Crime Board
The Commissioner will consider petitions that clearly ask for action to be taken relating to policing or crime in the west midlands. Petitions must be submitted 7 days ahead of the next meeting. Once accepted your petition will be read out and discussed at the monthly Strategic Policing and Crime Board. Once you have submitted your petition you may be invited to a meeting of the Strategic Policing and Crime Board to present it at the meeting.
The petition must be…
- either written up digitally or by hand written
- state very clearly the nature of the problem, and what actions are requested of the Commissioner.
- Include the names, addresses and handwritten signatures of the petitioners
- Use language that is clear, polite and respectful

How to submit a question to the Strategic Policing and Crime Board
The Commissioner will consider questions from members of the public (other than police officers and staff) who live, work or study in the West Midlands. The questions must relate to the duties and responsibilities of the Police and Crime Commissioner. Any questions have to be submitted in writing, either digitally or by hand, to the Commissioner at least seven working days before the meeting. Members of the public may submit one question per meeting.
