This is the latest in a series of decisions made by the Commissioner on the Technology Task Force’s procurement of an Innovation and Integration Partner (IIP). It is a confidential decision because it is commercially sensitive.
On 14 February 2013 the Commissioner decided (WMPCC 005 2013) that the Technology Task Force should make recommendations to him on how the Commissioner and Chief Constable could work with an Innovation and Integration Partner (IIP) to enhance policing services delivered to the public of the West Midlands. The Commissioner subsequently agreed a procurement process which saw the issue of a notice in the Official Journal of the European Union on 19 July 2013.
Decision WMPCC 044 2013 confirms that the Commissioner has decided that he has been provided with the necessary reassurance on the evaluation process which has been followed by West Midlands Police and West Midlands Office for Policing and Crime in the procurement of an innovation and integration partner. He has therefore decided the procurement should continue in accordance with the current process and the following three bidders should be invited to participate in the next phase of the procurement process which is detailed dialogue:
