The purpose of the Community Initiatives Fund is to provide financial assistance to community based initiatives in the West Midlands. These initiatives should contribute towards the objectives in the Police and Crime Commissioner’s Police and Crime Plan or local policing plans by addressing issues such as anti-social behaviour through the provision of diversionary activities. The principal aim of the Fund is to provide small grants to help projects succeed, and encourage community contact with local neighbourhood officers to increase trust and confidence and reduce crime, disorder and anti-social behaviour.
