| Officers are using Section 60 powers in West Bromwich Town Centre until 2200hrs today (Wednesday 21st July).
The order which started this morning at 1100hrs, covers West Bromwich Town Centre, and gives us the power to stop and search people we suspect may be involved in violence, without the need to have reasonable grounds.
The Section 60 is in place after a number of incidents of violence, including knifepoint robberies, over the past few weeks.
