| POWERS | Officers are using Section 60 powers in areas of central and west #Birmingham until midnight tonight (Sunday). The order, which started at 4pm today, gives us the power to stop and search people we suspect may be involved in violence involving weapons, without the need to have reasonable grounds. The Section 60 is in place in the areas covered by the map including #Handsworth, #Aston and #PerryBarr. It follows an incident on Friday evening when three men were injured after shots were fired in Hamstead Road. Our priority is to keep you safe.
