West Midlands Police and Crime Commissioner David Jamieson, has sent a reassuring message out to all those people who are or have become victims of crime that during the lockdown that they are not alone and that the services they so desperately need remain up and running.
These services include Victim Support and the many organisations throughout the West Midlands who offer and continue to offer help and support to victims of crime.
Further, as a key partner, West Midlands Police have reassured victims that travel restrictions will not apply if someone has to seek refuge.
West Midlands Police and Crime Commissioner David Jamieson said;
“It’s not only vital to keep these services going in extremely challenging times, but even more is that people who use these services are made aware and fully informed that these services are up and running and understand how to access them.
I would personally like to thank all those service providers for all the invaluable work they do and assure them we will continue to do all we can to support them with their agreed service provision.”
