The Office of the PCC

The Specified Information Order requires the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner West Midlands to publish:

1. The number of members of staff

As of September 2017 there are 35 staff in the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner West Midlands.

This information is to be published as soon as possible after an election and reviewed every six months.

2. The proportion of staff who are women

As of September 2017, 23 staff (65.7%) are female.

3. The proportion of staff who are members of an ethnic minority

As of September 2017, 13 staff (37%) are from an ethnic minority.

As of September 2017 no staff have self-declared a disability.

5. Senior Employee Information

The Police and Crime Commissioner is required to publish information on the job title, responsibilities, salary and name of senior employees.  This information is to be published as soon as possible after an election and reviewed every year.  See "related downloads".

7. Information in relation to the duty of the Chief Constable of West Midlands Police to provide assistance to the West Midlands Police and Crime Commissioner

The Chief Constable of West Midlands Police assists the West Midlands Police and Crime Commissioner by making available resources delegated to the Force by the Commissioner. 

These include:

  • Estates, including the accommodation for the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner West Midlands;
  • Information, Communication and Technology Services, including website hosting;
  • Legal Services;
  • Human Resources;
  • Treasury management, finance and exchequer services;
  • Procurement and purchasing;
  • Corporate Communications;
  • Organisation and Service Development, including planning functions;
  • Corporate Services, including Design and Print Services;
  • Learning and Development;

and other resources on which the office of the Police and Crime Commissioner may call upon from time to time.
