Top councillors tour Lloyd House
A high-level group of councillors and members of the Police and
Crime Panel, visited the newly-refurbished West Midlands Police
Headquarters with Police and Crime Commissioner David Jamieson and
Chief Constable Dave Thompson.
Police and Crime Commissioner David Jamieson said,
"I was delighted to welcome members of the Police and Crime
Panel and councillors from around the West Midlands to see the new,
modern facilities at Lloyd House.
"This building will pay for itself in seven years and we won't
be renting expensive buildings across the city centre, saving
nearly £3 million a year."
After the visit, Police and Crime Panel member and Solihull
councillor Diana Holl-Allen MBE said,
"This is an excellent modern building that will enable officers
and staff to work more efficiently and effectively.
"It will save West Midlands Police money and enable the force to
invest money into the frontline to protect officer numbers."
